the school? - NO!
The Education Committees
Besides the school directorate and teachers (of each
language section), representatives of students and
parents (members of the Parents' Association Committee)
are part of this committee.

All areas of
school life are possible agenda points. All parties
of the committee may submit discussion themes. This
committee discusses for example changes of school rules.
Proposals for school trips have to be forwarded and
approved by this committee, before they can be approved
by the director.
The view of each party will be heard and will be considered
when decisions are made. |
| How? |
Agenda points for forthcoming
meetings of the Educational Committees are discussed
within the Parents' Association Committee in advance,
in order to present the position of the majority of
school parents. If the opinion of parents' groups is
split this will also be passed on to the Educational
Committee. In order to get an overview of parents' opinions
important issues will be discussed with the class
representatives before meetings.
They should have permanent contact with their class
parents. |

There are EducationCommittees
for the Primary and Secondary school. According to the
statutes of the European Schools there are at least
4 meetings per school year. |
